What Did You Learn from Physiologically Speaking in 2024? + Win a Copy of My Book
From science to practice.
Greetings!
Whether you’re a long-time reader or a new subscriber, I want to hear from you.
Has a study breakdown, long-form research deep dive, or podcast interview that I’ve posted caused you to change your training, nutrition, or other habits?
Maybe there was a small change you made to your post-workout recovery or something you added (or removed) from your diet? Anything works—no matter how small.
If the answer to this is yes, post what it was (bonus points for linking the article) in the comments below.
At the end of the month, I’ll choose 5 responses at random and send the winners a free copy of my book in the format of their choosing (eBook, paperback, or hard cover).
I look forward to reading all of the replies.
Happy New Year. Let’s have a great 2025!
~Brady~
What I love is learning the “why” and “how” behind what I do (or should be doing). Even knowing why exercise snacks matter — on a cellular level no less! — is the kind of intel I depend on (mostly to sound smart 😉) and spur me to action. But the biggest takeaways the weekly reminder that regardless of the science, doing *something* matters most. And I appreciate that Brady!
In 2024 from you I learned:
The benefits of moving throughout the day r/t 1/2hrs at the gym.
The power of wide toe boxes!
The power of sleep and recovery!
The importance of VO2max for performance and longevity in general.
In 2025 I would love to learn how you overcome motivation blockers. I have a goal! I know what I need to do! Sometimes I will do it for months, and then I'll not do it. What's the science to keep going for someone who isn't a college / HS athlete that has habitulaised athleticism.
P.s. I love your work both here and on Examine (I'm friends with Sol and told him you're great) and I forwarded your newlsetter to a number of friends who I think would love it. Have been following for a couple of years. Thanks for nerding out online!
